Former Portland Police Chief Has A New Job

SPRINGFIELD, Ore.–Jami Resch resigned from Portland Police after serving the city of Portland for 23 years.  She has taken a new position with the Springfield Police Department.  She was sworn in Tuesday as Deputy Chief of Police.

Resch  became the Bureau’s 49th Chief of Police in Portland on December 31, 2019.  She stepped down in June of 2020.  In part of a statement she says, “My hope is just to get here, and to know everybody.  See what everybody’s looking for, what their goals are and see how I can assist in that.”
