Update On Injured Clark County Sheriff Deputy

VANCOUVER, Wa.– It has been a pretty wild 10 days here at the Sheriff’s Office.I am happy to report that Drew Kennison was released from the hospital yesterday and is now at a Rehabilitation facility. He will likely be there for the next couple of weeks. Thank you to everyone at Legacy Emanuel for caring for him so well.

Drew is really doing amazingly well considering everything and is in really good spirits. His attitude and determination have been inspiring to everyone who has gone to visit him.
He has a lot of work ahead of him but he is up to the task and is grateful for all of the support.
The first photo is when his regional SWAT team dropped into the hospital on Wednesday and presented Drew with a custom flag that includes the team logo.
The second photo is from Peace Health Southwest Medical Center yesterday. Sheriff’s Office employees, led by the Deputy Sheriff’s Guild, presented a letter written by Drew along with a cart of snacks and other items to say thank you to the Emergency Room and Security staff that provided amazing care to Drew and comfort to our agency last week.
The last three photos are of a letter that Drew wrote to thank all those that helped save his life and all those who have supported him and his family.
Thank you so much to everyone involved in Drew’s care and to all the outpouring of support from everyone in our community.
So many people have asked what they can do for Drew and his family, so the Deputy Sheriff’s Guild set up a link to donate to help with everything that lies ahead for Drew and his family.
To Drew, we love you and are here for you. We can’t wait to see you come back.
