Happy Valley, Ore.–NEWS RELEASE UPDATE (December 21, 2024): Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect in parking lot shooting. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Pedro Anthony Cornejo-Morales, age 18 from Gresham, on charges related to the shooting in the parking area near Clackamas Town Center on Friday. Investigators believe Cornejo-Morales shot a 15-year-old male victim in the hand. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
As Cornejo-Morales fled the scene, deputies quickly located him hiding behind a nearby building and took him into custody. Shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, Cornejo-Morales was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of Assault in the first degree, Assault in the second degree, Unlawful use of a weapon, and Attempted Murder in the second degree.
This remains an active investigation and detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about this case.
