BEND,Ore.– Brothers Mark Harro and Daniel Harro were killed in a plane crash on August 15, 2022. They were in a small plane going to the back country of Idaho for a camping trip. Daniel’s dog Cinder who was also onboard the plane, survived the crash. Cause of the crash still has not been determined.
Bend Fire&Rescue put together a memorial service Sunday, August 28th at 11 AM at Hayden Homes Amphitheater in Bend. Daniel worked at Scappoose Fire before he joined Bend fire as a paramedic and firefighter in 2014. Fire Chief Todd Riley says, “This is a devastating loss for our family. Daniel was well-loved and well respected by everyone who worked with him.” Mark Harro was an artist. he was very creative designing exceptional paintings, ceramics, costumes and drawings.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Elisif. Mark by his wife Kelly. The men’s parents are John and Denise Harro. They had one sister, Laura.
